We are currently looking for an experienced WordPress Backend Developer to join our team of professionals. The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining WordPress websites for our US-based clients, ranging from basic to extensive levels.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the core programming languages that form the foundation of WordPress, including extensive knowledge of WordPress core files, plugins, and theme customizations. You should have a track record of success in building and maintaining WordPress websites, along with proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining existing websites.
As a WordPress Backend Developer, you will work alongside our team of senior and lead developers, who will provide guidance and support as you advance your skills and grow as a developer. The role requires a passion for WordPress development and the ability to code custom websites rather than relying on pre-built themes and plugins.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of WordPress core files, plugin and theme customizations
- Proficiency in troubleshooting WordPress website issues and performing maintenance on existing websites
- Attention to detail for pixel-perfect development work
- Debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Strong knowledge of HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Ability to write custom code from scratch
- Ability to optimize website speed, ensure mobile-friendliness, and create responsive designs
- Ability to analyze business requirements and advise on the best way to implement them in WordPress
- Experience with WooCommerce and its add-ons
- Fast learner with an interest in new technologies
